Anne Marie Smith, Ph.D., is a Principal Consultant – Practice Advisor at Advanced Management Services, Inc. (AMS), a Global Management Consulting firm, practicing in the areas of Organizational Development Consulting, Professional Development Training, and Performance Coaching. AMS has been serving Fortune 100/500, Middle-Market, Emerging High-Growth, and Government clients since 1994.

As a Principal Consultant – Practice Advisor, Anne Marie focuses her efforts on improving organizational approaches to effective data management. She has significant experience in all areas of enterprise data management, starting with current state assessments, data strategy development, data management program design and implementation, and data literacy improvement for organizations of many sizes in a variety of industries.  As a data management consultant, she has led teams focused on improving and sustaining effective data management programs

She has authored numerous articles, including: “An Organizational Approach to Improving Enterprise Data Management”, “Developing an Effective Data Management Assessment” and “A New View of Data Integrity and Data Literacy”. She has developed and facilitated many webinars, seminars, and courses on data management, data governance, and data strategy, and has served as a panelist and moderator in many settings.

For over 20 years, as a Director/ VP of Education, she has designed learning approaches for a variety of organizations in all areas of data management as well as business analysis and project management in live and virtual settings.

As an Assistant Professor and faculty member for several universities, Anne Marie has guided students and adult learners through successful completion of all levels of higher education, from certificates to doctoral degrees.

Anne Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from La Salle University, and she earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management Information Systems from Northcentral University.  She also holds several industry certifications, including as a certified data management professional and earned an Associate in Risk Management (ARM).  She has been awarded the designation as a Fellow of the International Information Management (FIIM) and as a Fellow of the Insurance Data Management Association (FIDM).  Anne Marie has served on the executive boards of several non-profit organizations, including DAMA International (DAMA), the Insurance on Data Management Association (IDMA), among others.
