Biography

Erin Mara

Erin is a seasoned talent and leadership development executive with over 25 years of experience driving organizational transformation through purpose-driven leadership and people-centered strategies. Her work focuses on advancing organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, leadership development, workforce engagement, executive coaching and customer experience.

Erin has held several senior leadership roles, including Chief Learning Officer and Head of Global Talent Management at organizations such as BAYADA Home Health Care, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Definitive Healthcare, and Staples.   Erin brings a unique ability to navigate both the complexity of organizational systems and the personal journeys of the people within them. As a coach and talent strategist, she empowers individuals and teams to grow with intention, lead with authenticity, and connect their work to a deeper sense of purpose. Her approach combines strategic insight with a coaching mindset, grounded in curiosity, empathy, and a belief that meaningful change happens through real human connection.

Most recently, Erin served as Head of Global Talent Management at Definitive Healthcare, where she led the global talent strategy to accelerate growth and agility. Prior to that, as Chief Learning Officer at BAYADA Home Health Care, she drove enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen leadership capabilities and deepen workforce alignment with BAYADA’s mission.

At BJ’s Wholesale Club, Erin served as Vice President of Talent Management, where she redefined learning across the organization, embedding development into the flow of work -impacting over 30,000 team members.

Earlier in her career, Erin spent nearly two decades at Staples Inc. in progressive leadership roles spanning learning, customer satisfaction, and process improvement. As Senior Director of Learning and Development, she centralized L&D operations, led key change initiatives, and aligned employee learning with the company’s evolving strategy.  Her early work in customer insights and market research helped accelerate Staples' customer experience transformation.

In addition to her corporate leadership roles, Erin serves as an executive coach and leadership facilitator, creating space for others to discover their purpose and lead with clarity, energy and confidence.  She also contributes to the firm’s Contractor Sales Consultant (CSC) program, focused on building capability and brand impact across client-facing teams.

At the core of Erin’s work is a steadfast belief: when leaders are anchored in purpose, they not only drive results, but they also create cultures where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to thrive.

She holds a degree from Middlebury College and has completed advanced leadership development programs throughout her career.
