We led a Change Management Process Design effort for a global investment manager to help them achieve better efficiency in workflows. Change Management Center of Excellence (CoE) is an embedded structure to ensure change results in efforts that are aligned with strategic actions. The client is a global fortune 500 company who provides insurance investment management and other financial products and services to retail and institutional customers.
Challenge
Due to changes in business models, and merging of offices and lines of business, the company needed assistance in creating a COE for change management spanning 11 businesses in 8 countries experiencing different phases of change. This included process, culture, and technology migration.
Solution
AMS partnered with multiple divisions within the client organization to create a suite of transformational resources for 15 business organizations in 9 countries. The goal was to establish a sustainable enterprise corporate change management center of excellence. AMS identified over 100 change management tools and aligned the resources to a standard change management model. A gap analysis was completed to identify which resources were necessary for the client and which ones were already developed internally. AMS then created the remaining transformational tools and submitted them to the client for use within their organizational change initiatives.

The implementation of the suite of resources across 15 business organizations in 9 countries established a sustainable change management center of excellence. This strategic approach provided the client with a robust and cohesive framework for managing change, promoting consistency and effectiveness across their global operations. The customized tools enabled the client to navigate their change initiatives with greater confidence and success.
