Women and Power – This course is designed for high potential women wanting to enhance their performance in relation to leading teams, driving projects, and generally advancing their careers.  The core context of leadership is gender neutral, yet the application and manifestation of it can result in a wide variance of “perceived” meaning.  Participants in this program will be exposed to the tools and techniques necessary to delineate the “trigger points” associated with this perception and gain an understanding of how to overcome some of the barriers female leaders face.

  • Understanding the business environment for woman
  • Embracing the business culture
  • Know who is “at the table”
  • Exercise: Map your course to the table by building upon your network

Module 2: Identify Positive Leadership Behaviors

  • Understand the gender “perception triggers”
  • Men & Women lead and are led differently
  • Inspire other women
  • Exercise: “Carry yourself” like a leader (model)

Module 3: Establish Communications Techniques

  • Understand your audience
  • Build a communication toolbox
  • Manage “emotion & communication”
  • Exercise: Role play, difficult, positive, and developmental deliveries using emotional filters

Module 4: Change for the Women’s Movement

  • Earning and setting the expectation of bi-directional respect
  • Being authoritative with and without “power”
  • Projecting power as a woman
  • Exercise: Build a list of personal convictions to maintain the “power of purpose”

 Module 5: Personal Action Plan
