As Founder – Managing Partner, Phil has guided his firm through economic oscillations, global expansion/downturn, and transformative change. His keen entrepreneurial insight has led the firm to capitalize on multiple emerging market and company opportunities which have translated into AMS rising as a respected global brand within the Management Consulting industry.
As an experienced Management Consultant, Phil has designed, developed and advised global enterprise clients such as; JP Morgan, Bank of America, The Hartford, NASA, MIT Lincoln Labs, Munters, Pfizer/Pharmacia, Merck, Phillips Petroleum, Walmart, BCBS, AT&T, Genzyme and others, on initiatives ranging from strategy development, innovation & strategic planning, performance management, learning & development, talent management, globalization, leadership, and integrated quality workflow design. These initiatives included the development of operational frameworks to support them in the practice areas of project management, business analysis, professional development, and operational performance.
As a serial Entrepreneur, in addition to Advanced Management Services, Phil founded AMS Aviation, PTV Equity and WIT Marine Group. Phil maintains an active role in PTV Equity as the CIO with direct oversight responsibility for venture funding and asset class/equity portfolio analysis & trade execution.
As an Industry Thought Leader, Phil maintains an active presence in associations, is a sought-out speaker, as well as publishing on Organizational Development topics relevant to his firms practice areas. Phil has contributed as an adjunct faculty and/or guest lecturer at Boston University, University of Massachusetts-Boston, California State University-Hayward, and is a regular contributor to the Business Ethics curricular at Suffolk University Sawyer Business School.
Phil is a commercially rated pilot, and among other interests, is an off-shore yachtsman, dual-sport motorcycle enthusiast, backcountry skier, golfer, and global citizen with a flair for wanderlust, having traveled the world in pursuit of adventure and cultural fulfilment.
