Phil Ventresca, M.B.A., is the Founder – Managing Partner, at Advanced Management Services, Inc. (AMS), a Management Consulting and Training practice, who’s experts have been collaborating with cross-industry, global enterprise clients since 1994, to optimize organizational best practices and develop leadership competencies.
Phil has guided his firm through economic oscillations, global expansion/downturn, and reengineering during transformative change. His keen entrepreneurial insight has led the firm to capitalize on multiple emerging market and company opportunities which have translated into AMS rising as a respected global brand within the industry. By embracing an Agile and Product Driven approach to the firms practice areas, they can scale and solve for global challenges at a velocity and swiftness that supersedes larger organizations. Phil professes that AMS has redefined the term “Global Boutique” by delivering the highest quality service and implementing sustainable client solutions regardless of geography or project genesis.
As an Organizational Development Consultant, and Professional Development Leader, Phil has led complex programs/projects across HR, Global Operations, Talent Management, and Enterprise Business/IT groups. He has designed/delivered training programs, developed OD consulting/coaching solutions, and has delivered custom solutions for global clients such as JP Morgan, Bank of America, The Hartford, NASA, MIT Lincoln Labs, Pfizer/Pharmacia, Merck, Phillips Petroleum, Walmart, BCBS, Prudential, The Hanover, AT&T, Genzyme and others. Some of his direct contributions range from strategy development, Agile/digital transformation, innovation & strategic planning, performance management, learning & development structure development, talent management, globalization, leadership, culture development, and integrated quality workflow design within project-based operations.
Phil has designed best practice models such as the REST Leadership Framework, the 4×4 Instructional Design Structure, the Bridge Selling System, as well as foundational processes to support Dynamic Learning Tracks, Business Simulation Training, and a L&D foundational infrastructure called the Learning Academy.
As a serial Entrepreneur, in addition to AMS, Phil founded AMS Aviation, PTV Equity and WIT Marine Group. Phil maintains an active role in PTV Equity as the CIO with direct oversight responsibility for venture funding and asset class/equity portfolio analysis & trade execution.
As an Industry Thought Leader, Phil maintains an active presence in associations, is a sought-out speaker, as well as publishing on Organizational Development topics relevant to his firms practice areas. Phil has contributed as an adjunct faculty and/or guest lecturer at Boston University, University of Massachusetts-Boston, California State University-Hayward, and is a regular contributor to the Business Ethics curricular at Suffolk University Sawyer Business School.
Phil is a commercially rated pilot, and among other interests, is an offshore yachtsman, adventure motorcycle enthusiast, backcountry skier, golfer, aspiring guitarist, and global citizen with a flair for wanderlust, having traveled the world in pursuit of adventure and cultural fulfilment.
