Carl Robertson, PMP, CSM, AIM – is a Principal Consultant – Practice Advisor at Advanced Management Services, Inc. (AMS), a Global Management Consulting firm, practicing in the areas of Organizational Development Consulting, Professional Development Training, and Performance Coaching. AMS has been serving Fortune 100/500, Middle-Market, Emerging High-Growth, and Government clients since 1994.

As a Principal Consultant – Practice Advisor, Carl focuses his efforts on enhancing organizational and employee performance in a broad array of project management practices and roles, to include Agile, Product Ownership, DevOps, Program Management, Change Management, Project Governance, and soft skills such as leadership & communication. Carl embraces diversity, and adeptly engages across organizations, environments, cultures, and all levels of employees to innovatively deliver learnings that optimally benefit the client’s target audience.

Carl has also developed and delivered training for non-profit organizations that support the betterment of economic conditions for individuals in underprivileged communities, where he focuses on heightening the awareness and use of vocational skills and available support resources. Most recently, he helped to strengthen the longer-term availability of support services through his ‘Train the Trainer’ efforts for the organization, and by serving as Vocational Advisor for its clients.

As a Director, People Manager, practitioner, and trainer for major organizations and industries such as Pfizer, ESPN, Travelers, and Voya Financial, Carl has extensive industry experience that is both diverse and hands-on. His robust background and toolset enable him to partner with organizational leaders toward delivering learnings that are relevant, impactful, and most beneficial to serving the client’s needs.

Carl has extensive experience in leading learning and development initiatives for a variety of areas across enterprises, with a strong focus on IT delivery organizations. His experience further encompasses multiple business areas and functions such as Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Product Development.

He holds certifications in Project Management (PMP), Agile (CSM), Change Management (AIM), and Six Sigma, and he has obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. For his strong sense of integrity and ethical work practices, he has regularly been selected by his employers to own and manage critical governance and audit functions for their project delivery organizations.
