Overview
AMS deploys solutions based on customized industry and experiential best practice.  Our team of executive level consultants will work with your organization to craft the best implementation of any service, solution suite and correlating best practice.  This holistic approach to creating business solutions will render high value ROI, continuity and embedded value.

Large projects and programs require a precise analysis of time, cost, effort and return on investment, (ROI).  Often times it is difficult for the project team to benchmark, validate or even justify a project's value without an unbiased review and analysis.  AMS consultants have been directly involved with multi-national, complex, high profile and large budget projects from a practical and review perspective.  Our clients have benefited from proactive consultation leading to smoother and more efficient ramp ups.

These days, with the general availability of project management software, it seems simple to create a project schedule that on the surface, appears to work well. Although many schedules may look accurate, there could be a number of errors that will ultimately cause the schedule to fail, impact the overall project plan and primary deliverables, and/or possibly derail the project.  Additionally these tools do not consider resource variables like team dynamics, politics and any collateral items.

The AMS Peer Review and Schedule/Plan Validation process is founded in a structured methodology to ensure accuracy and validity. The process is geared towards helping the project team achieve on-time, on-budget project delivery; our validation will assess the schedule’s likelihood of success, and help focus attention on the most critical areas. Our goal during this process is also to educate the project manager on the procedure, so he/she can refine the schedule themselves and watch for future pitfalls.

Our assigned consultant will understand your industry, project complexity and nuance related to the organization.  By collaborating with the client team we will analyze the following items:

  • Communication Protocol
  • Cost Variance
  • Cost Variance Index

  • Critical Path Analysis

  • Earned Value Analysis

  • Network Diagram

  • Organizational Readiness/Impact

  • PERT Analysis

  • Resource Level and Competency Review

  • Return on Investment, (ROI)

  • Schedule Performance Index

  • Schedule Variance

  • Simulation Models

The above items may not represent the exact list of measurable items.  Once engaged, AMS will refine this list to ensure that appropriate and project specific items are being evaluated.  This is a customized process, not a "canned" event and it renders immediately usable data to proactively off-set risk.  The process may include the use of several on-line assessments as well as on-site interviews and complete documentation/plan review.  Each project varies in size; complexity etc. therefore the duration of these events varies as well.  AMS will estimate the engagement and identify specific deliverables for each client and project.  AMS aligns an executive level team with industry specific experience and works with cost value and return as a paramount objective.

Clients receive a detailed report illustrating our findings and recommendations for adjustments. We will also provide an analysis of the logic we used for future reference. That way, it becomes a learning tool for the project manager’s development.  In many client engagements the consultant presents the findings report to selected team members allowing for interaction and most importantly, knowledge transfer leading to repeatable and sustainable best practice.

AMS can customize any best practice to fit your organizational needs.
